What's On My Heart Today ... Feeding Your Faith
"On the day I called, you answered me; my strength of soul you increased. " Psalm 138:3
'Anxiety' in itself is not a mental disorder. Rather, it is a normal emotional response to stress. If unattended, it will rob you of your memory of joy. The Bible teaches that we should deal with each day's problems when they occur and not be obsessed with future concerns that may not happen. If you are daily plagued with anxiety and fear, it is time to reclaim your thoughts. Maybe you can't control your fears, but you can stop feeding them. Instead, start feeding your faith. Begin with a strong prayer life. Be honest and specific with God with what you are afraid of and ask Him to help you not to live in that fear. Circumstances are external and often beyond your control. But your response originates within. It’s amazing how fears diminish in the Father’s presence. Trusting in God will confirm the grace of His presence.
"Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you...blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
