"But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41:42
We are blessed to have a pastor in our church that has a steadfast love for the Lord, knowledge of bible and prophecy, and an amazing gift for teaching, As I was sitting in a class recently, and his teaching was resonating with my soul, I was reminded of the story of Mary (Martha's sister). Jesus' teaching resonated with Mary's soul. It spoke to her heart. One day Martha complained to Jesus; "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?" Jesus replied; "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her." Like Mary, do you hunger to learn about Jesus? Does your heart yearn to hear His words of teaching? Our Lord says that Mary chose the one thing that was needful. The Biblical account of Mary reminds us of how we can find fellowship and communion with the Christ. Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet and listen to His Words. Do you have a heart to receive your good portion today? Set your heart on spending more time with Jesus.
Sweetest Blessings,
Jo
