Closed Doors

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Luke 12:34

Have you ever experienced the pain of leaving a church that was very dear to your heart? I suspect many have. This kind of experience will most definitely rock your world. Tilt your spiritual balance. Regardless of the reason you made that decision, it did not come pain free. If you attended that church for very long, you were blessed with sweet friendships. What now? Do you close the door to those special friendships or do you leave it open? Guess what? Everyone that you love has already built a village in your heart, leaving footprints, evidence of treasured memories. May I speak encouragement into your heart. Spit out the bones! Be open to new friendships, but keep the old treasured ones too. Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God’s handprints. Love the family the Lord has given you. How precious, how beautiful, how simple. Enlarge your vision. Do not let dark areas enter the rooms of your heart, it will keep you stuck in the graveyards of yesterday. Jesus healed our brokenness that day at Calvary. He is the keeper of our hearts. Don't close the doors of your heart to anyone.
