Wounded But Not Broken

“He will not crush those who are weak or quench the smallest hope."  Isaiah 42:3

Have you experienced a broken heart? Somewhere along life’s journey has your heart developed a big hole. Maybe it started as a small tear, but someone said something that tore the hole a little bigger. Maybe it wasn’t intentional, but the conversation gained momentum to the point of losing relationships. It left you with a gapping, suffocating hole in your heart. You relive the moment over and over and no matter what you do nothing takes the pain away. How can we hear God when everything we hear is filtered through a tangled web of our own broken pieces? Know this my friend, Jesus is the keeper of your heart. Whatever has broken your heart, breaks His heart too. Allow God to plant love where bitterness wants to take root. He can heal your broken heart, but you have to give Him all the pieces. Still your thoughts long enough to lay them down and in the still quiet of the moment, listen to God whisper this promise to you; "The pain that you've been feeling, cant compare to the joy that's coming." (Romans 8:18) Dare to believe it!

I love this devotional! When we give Jesus our hurts, He heals us!
