Yahweh

"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens." Psalm 8:1 ESV

Yahweh...Majesty and Glory! This psalm was written by David as a song to be sung by God’s people. All of God’s creation display His splendor and majesty. Many small and seemingly unimportant things reveal the greatness of God. Each lovely flower that opens and each tiny bird that sings proclaims the glorious majesty of God. We see this throughout Scripture from the beginning to the end, from the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation. God’s greatness is written in the stars. It’s written in the foundations of the earth. It’s written in the crashing waves, and by grace, it’s written on our heart. May you learn the power of praise. Take time today and look for ways that God has shown His love and faithfulness to you, then give Him praise. Don’t squander the opportunity to draw close to His majesty. God inhabits the praises of His people. Exalt, lift up on High the name of Jesus.
