Sweet Friendships

"Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." Ruth 1:16

Are you blessed with a sweet circle of friends? Someone to walk your journey with? The scriptures contain wonderful accounts of personal friendships. I think of the epic story of Ruth and Naomi. This story reveals the very nature of friendship itself. God often knits our hearts with other sister like He did with Ruth and Naomi. Special friendships are often created while walking with each other down hard roads. What better parable is there of this then Ruth and Naomi? Their relationship was special because it reflected God's amazing grace and love. There will come a time in every one of our lives that we will need a sister to walk our journey beside us. Both in the valleys and on the mountain tops. To hold our hands or hold our hearts. Is there someone you’ve lost touch with? Someone you need to call? Someone you need to ask forgiveness? Someone who looks like they could use a friend right now? Let’s be givers and receivers of sweet friendships. A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.
