Godly Wisdom

Godly Wisdom: "The ability to think and make decisions in harmony with God's will and character."   

"Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; for her proceeds are better than the prophets of silver, and her gain than fine gold." Proverbs 3:13-14.

 Godly Wisdom...So, how is your decision making skills? I was in my mid-life before I realized that my decisions had long arms! One of those life-changing lessons for me. Every decision we make has consequences. Sometimes they are immediate and others don't reveal themselves for years. Godly wisdom is different from common sense or even conventional wisdom. Godly wisdom is a gift from God that helps us to understand the difference between what is right and wrong in God's sight and will lead to happiness and peace. No one is born with Godly wisdom. No amount of knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, or insight alone will give us Godly wisdom, but everyone has the choice to develop Godly wisdom. "If you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5-7). It is no surprise that that wisdom is mentioned forty-one times in the book of Proverbs. We need to understand the importance of Godly wisdom if we want to live our lives to our very best with no regrets. The next time you are faced with an important decision, bend a knee and ask God to bless you with His perfect will and you will reap the rewards! 

"But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." James 3:17-18.
