What's On My Heart Today "Standing On Holy Ground"
"When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses! And Moses said "Here I am." "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Exodus 3:4-5
"Standing on Holy ground." These beautiful words wrap around my heart with love. Why do you suppose God told Moses to take off his sandals? It wasn't that the actual ground that Moses was standing on that was holy, it was the presence, the essence of God's holiness, that made it holy. Have you ever stood on holy ground in such a way that you could physically feel the spiritual reality? We are standing on holy ground when we worship. Today, take time to worship at His holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy!
"But, as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:15-16
