Hard seasons... Why Lord?

"You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book." Psalm 56:8

Hard seasons... Why Lord? Are you walking through a season of heartache? Maybe your thinking, "I can't see what God's doing right now?"  Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and just want to give up? Your Heavenly Father wants to encourage you... He wants you to know that He sees your tears. Though weeping is necessary, it is not the final message He has for you.

No amount of knowing all the "Why's" will bring comfort. Only God, the author of life, can comprehend that. You may not be able to control your wandering thoughts, but you can decided whether to dance with them.

Trust in God's perfect timing. Thank God for closing the doors you weren't strong enough to close, and opening the doors that you are not strong enough to open. "Not now" doesn't mean "Not ever!" Begin to live in the wide open spaces of grace. Choose grace instead of grudges, laughter, instead of shame, and love instead of fear.

Open the windows of your heart and let the fresh air in. Open your hands and release your grip on old hurts, wounds, and disappointments. They can bring with them the weights of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness. God can heal a broken heart, but you have to give Him ALL the pieces.

Take heart… God wants to bless you in inconceivable ways to make your life what you never dreamed it could be. Know that you are a daughter of a King, a holy princess, a woman created with strengths you've yet to fully grasp and a story that is still being written by a Divine Author Himself.

Every season comes bearing the gift of a new beginning. May you feel loved, appreciated, respected, and cared for. May this new season bring you blessings of peace, joy, hope and happiness.

"Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you." Jeremiah 31:1
